The journey of the heart is a journey of acquiring not more, but less. We do not take the journey to please the mind that always wants more of everything, but for the heart that is everything.
The outer journey is traveled with the mind. Traveling with the mind means learning a lot of useless things that are not true anyway and then living as though they are. Things of the mind pass away with time. Wisdom is older than time.
The wisdom of the heart cannot be learned; it can only be revealed. The wisdom of the heart arises as a deep inner knowing, a feeling, a conviction that can not be disputed.
Give up blind belief. Find out for yourself what is true.

"Wisdom is the principal thing; therefore get wisdom: and with all thy getting get understanding." ~King Solomon, Proverbs 4:4-9
If a shining silver stream had a mind like a human being, it might lament, 'Am I running in the right direction? Will I make it to the ocean? Why was I born a stream anyway? Why not a river? If only it would rain and rain, perhaps I could swell up and become a river. Then maybe my life would have meaning.'
Meanwhile the stream is just shining,
Just flowing towards the ocean,
Meanwhile life just goes on.
Be compassionate with yourself. Be respectful of yourself. Mostly just be. You do not have to be famous, important, rich, spiritually advanced, or a college graduate to justify your existence. And you may be famous, important, rich, spiritually advanced or a college graduate. You have a right to be here as you are. The spiritual path includes acceptance of what is, including yourself. From this acceptance, grows understanding.
