Today I return to Los Angeles, met by at the airport by my good friend, Fay. Fay is 81 and has more energy than many people half her age. She takes her 3 dogs for long walks, takes classes, and travels to exoctic places in her spare time. She's amazing. Like my mom. At 81, my looks much younger. She still works! And she shovels snow in these hard and long northeast winters. Her mind is great and she likes to do crossword puzzles. I am blessed to know amazing people of all ages who live vital lives. I just read about a man over 100 who ran a 26 mile marathon, and my mind thought, "oh yeah, but he's been doing it since he was young and built up his stamina." The the next sentence said he'd only started running when he was 80, for charity. Isn't that an inspiration! It is possible to begin anew anytime, so long as we believe we can.
